Why Us
A young girl with dark hair tied back, wearing a long-sleeved white shirt with pink floral pattern, is drawing with a pink marker on a piece of white paper. The paper has some colored lines and dots, with a pile of colored markers and pencils nearby on the table.

Learn Through Nature, Discovery, Rural Community, Inclusive.

Ruahine Follett Street Kindergarten is a rural kindergarten with space to move, explore, and grow. We have quiet places, wilderness areas, and real-world experiences like gardening and collecting eggs.

As part of the Enviroschools programme, we support your tamariki to care for the land and become confident, capable learners.

Tamariki learn through play, discovery, and working together. We use te reo Māori and NZ Sign Language daily, reflecting our commitment to cultural inclusion.

Every child is supported to follow their interests. We’ll help your little one be curious, creative, and reach their full potential.

It takes a village to raise a child – find yours with us. Pop in anytime — or if you'd prefer to book a visit, get in touch and let’s organise your free tour today or enrol!
